Blake and Sandy Harte, the owners of Cafe West, were born and raised in the Downriver area and met while working at Colombo`s in Wyandotte. 

No wonder the fare is terrific at Cafe West, Chef Blake has a resume as long as a fish tale, although his is real!

Meanwhile, Sandy has learned to hone the experience she gathered while working at Colombo`s, Lone Star Steak House and Shrimper`s of Florida.

Successful restaurateurs know that the food must be exceptional, the atmosphere relaxing and the service outstanding.


Thankfully, Blake and Sandy were homesick for Michigan and brought their love of fresh seafood, salt-water fish and wild game back to Trenton!

The Harte`s truly have restaurant in their blood.  Don`t believe me?  Their son and daughter have already started their restaurant careers along side Mom and Dad, and they are naturals.
Good thing for us the Cafe West recipes will be carried on!
